Three Early Photographs of Buffalo Bill, Ned Buntline & Texas Jack,
each 6.5 x 4.25", mounted on linen back thin card stock. These images were taken in 1875 during Bill's first stage appearance in New York when he appeared with Buntline, Omohundro, and Hickok in the short-running "Scouts of the Plains." Probably taken by George Rockwood (See Cowan's Fall 2005 Historic American Auction, Lot 1163). Should be considered rarely encountered images.
Provenance:Property of the former First National Bank of Fremont, Indiana
Condition:Each toned. The first with a applied manuscript label affecting Buntline's image; image of Buntline w/horizontal crease at ankles. Lot about VG.
